The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly says it will monitor Kazakhstan’s early parliamentary elections scheduled for 23 August. A 19-member PACE delegation will travel to Kazakhstan from 21 to 24 August to observe the ballot alongside OSCE Parliamentary Assembly observers and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). The delegation plans to meet election stakeholders, including candidates, political parties, civil society, media representatives, and officials, before observing election day proceedings. A joint press conference is planned for 24 August.
