Oman Meeting Between Gulf States and Iran Postponed, Foreign Minister Says

A meeting in Oman between Iran and Gulf Arab states on possible agreements for the Strait of Hormuz was postponed from Monday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said. He said the delay was made in the interests of consensus, while reaffirming Oman’s commitment to dialogue, regional stability and long-term cooperation. The talks were expected to address maritime arrangements and a proposed route through the strategic waterway. The postponement comes amid heightened tensions and continuing disruptions to shipping and energy markets.
