A mother has been found guilty of killing her three-month-old baby daughter after the child suffered fatal burns caused by heat from a hairdryer. In court in Peterhead, jurors heard the infant had burns to about 18% of her body and that the mother had been alone with the baby when the appliance was used. Prosecutors said the evidence showed culpable and reckless exposure, and she will be sentenced next month. The case was described by the judge as incredibly disturbing
