Moscow to restrict mobile internet for three days during Putin’s summits

Russian authorities will restrict mobile internet access within Moscow’s Third Ring Road from October 27–29, citing security concerns during two international summits attended by President Vladimir Putin. The limits coincide with the Gas Exporting Countries Forum on October 27 and the Russia-Africa summit running October 28–29. On October 27–28, restrictions are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. local time; on October 29, from 9:30 a.m. Voice calls, Wi-Fi, home internet and government-approved websites are expected to remain available inside the affected area.
