A large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv has killed 13 people and injured more than 80, Ukrainian officials said, as first responders searched damaged areas and hospitals treated the wounded.

Officials said the strikes hit multiple locations, prompting emergency services to conduct rescue operations and provide support to residents. Ambulances transported casualties to medical facilities, where doctors prioritized patients according to the severity of injuries.

The attack also caused damage to buildings in affected neighbourhoods. Photos and video shared in the aftermath showed crumpled debris and damaged structures, while local authorities urged residents to stay alert to potential secondary hazards.

Ukrainian officials blamed Russia for the attack and said efforts were ongoing to assess the full extent of destruction and to confirm the total number of victims. They also renewed calls for additional air-defence support as the conflict continues.
