President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s net trust rating has slipped into negative territory, falling to -3% in the latest survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) from November 24 to 30, 2025. This marks a sharp decline from his +7% rating in October, reflecting growing public dissatisfaction.
The poll, commissioned by Stratbase Consultancy, reveals a deeply polarized political landscape. Marcos registered his steepest drop in Mindanao, where his net trust rating plunged to -37%. His ratings also remained negative in Metro Manila and the Visayas, with Luzon emerging as his only positive stronghold at +18%.
In contrast, Vice President Sara Duterte recorded a significant rise in public trust, with her net trust rating climbing to +31%. Her numbers were driven by an overwhelming +74% rating in Mindanao, alongside positive scores across all other regions.
These shifts in public sentiment come amid heightened scrutiny of the administration, including allegations of irregularities in government flood control projects and an increasingly visible rift within the country’s political leadership. Observers note that these developments may be influencing how Filipinos currently view the nation’s top officials.
