Many Feared Trapped as Tall Building Collapses in Kenya

A multistory building under construction collapsed Friday in Nairobi’s South C area, leaving at least four people believed trapped, Kenyan officials said. Rescue teams dug through rubble as a multi-agency response worked at the scene. Geoffrey Ruku, the Cabinet secretary responsible for public service, said four people were believed inside. A relative of one trapped worker said he had managed to call from beneath debris. Authorities had not immediately determined what caused the collapse. Search and rescue efforts continued.
