Gardaí are continuing their search for a man sought in connection with the murder of American woman Jamey Carney in Killarney, County Kerry, after officers said he has fled the country.

Investigators believe the suspect left Ireland very soon after the attack and may already be abroad, prompting efforts to coordinate with foreign police services. Gardaí say they are working to establish his location and movements and to determine the next stage of the investigation.

The police have urged anyone with information—particularly from the Killarney area in the relevant time window—to come forward and assist detectives.
