Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested 32-year-old Di-Quan Schafar Hunt after they were shown a social media account with multiple videos. Officers said one video appeared to show Hunt punching a woman on a sidewalk off East Boulevard on July 30 before he ran away. The victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police said Hunt can be heard saying “Don’t wave to me.” He was taken for medical evaluation and later charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
