Man arrested as part of murder investigation into death of Ann Widdecombe

Police have launched a murder investigation into the death of former MP Ann Widdecombe, who was found dead at her home in Haytor, on the edge of Dartmoor. Investigators said she had sustained serious injuries, and they appealed for information as the inquiry began. A man, aged 26, has since been arrested on suspicion of Widdecombe’s murder and remains in police custody.
