Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, are expected to face additional U.S. charges related to the alleged torture of Americans detained in Venezuelan prisons. The charges could be announced as soon as Thursday, sources told CBS News. More than a dozen Americans were reportedly wrongfully detained during Maduro’s rule. Maduro and Flores were brought to New York after their capture in January and have pleaded not guilty to existing drug-trafficking charges. Their lawyer said he had received no notice of additional charges.
