A blast was heard at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on Saturday, prompting evacuations and disrupting flights. Two eyewitnesses and two people briefed on the incident reported that many people were wounded; one witness saw injured people inside the airport. Saudi authorities had not immediately commented. Flight-tracking data showed flights diverted or cancelled, while Kuwait Airways suspended service, citing the airport’s closure and security situation. Etihad and Qatar Airways also cancelled flights. The incident followed two attacks on the airport earlier in the week, which killed four people.
