Neuralink’s existing implants are designed to read neural activity and translate it into digital commands, allowing users — primarily people with paralysis — to interact with computers without physical movement. Increasing capability, in this context, is not about novelty but precision: clearer signals, lower latency, and more consistent performance over long periods of use.
The company remains in early human trials, where progress is governed by regulatory oversight and medical caution. Any new hardware iteration must pass through careful evaluation, balancing innovation with patient safety.
