Israeli election officials said Sunday that last week’s vote would stand even if allegations of foreign interference are substantiated. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party has claimed, without providing evidence, that Arab-led parties “stole” the election after his bloc lost its parliamentary majority. The Shin Bet is investigating suspected foreign interference at the election commission’s request. Likud cited alleged vote-bribery cases involving activists, while Arab party Ra’am denied involvement. Election committee chairman Noam Sohlberg said confirmed suspicions would not invalidate results overall.
