Israeli public broadcaster Kan 11 reported that Turkey warned it would prevent a Kurdish incursion into Iran during the early stages of a US-Israeli war over Tehran earlier this year. The report says Ankara even discussed the possibility of offering Iran aerial defense against Israeli and US strikes. It links the claim to Trump’s comments that he discouraged Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from joining the conflict. Trump said Erdogan “stayed out” after he urged him not to enter the fighting.
