Israel Targets Iran’s Isfahan Missile Facility in Major Airstrike

JERUSALEM — The Israel Defense Forces said its air force carried out a major airstrike on military targets in central Iran, including facilities in and around Isfahan, as part of a broad campaign against Iranian missile and security infrastructure.

In a statement released on Monday, March 09, 2026, Israel’s military said warplanes struck missile launch sites, internal security command centers and production facilities used by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Basij forces. Among the targets hit were long range ballistic missile launch sites and a rocket engine production facility, along with internal security headquarters and other military infrastructure in the Isfahan region that, according to the military, posed a threat to Israeli security.
