Israel’s Venture Capital Market Opens Another Door, As Swish Ventures Raises $250 Million for New Technology Investments

In Israel’s technology districts, some of the most consequential business decisions begin long before a product reaches the public. They start with a small team, an unfinished idea and an investor willing to stay through the uncertain early stages. Venture capital sits in that space between possibility and proof.

Swish Ventures has now raised $250 million for its third fund, bringing the firm’s total assets under management to approximately $800 million. The fund will focus on early-stage technology companies, particularly startups at the Seed and Series A stages.

The new fund is expected to invest in around 12 companies, with an average investment of approximately $20 million per company. Swish said the investments can be made alongside another venture fund or as a participating investor.

The strategy gives the firm room to support companies at different points in their development. Its investment structure includes an Opportunity Fund that can continue investing in businesses as they move beyond their earliest stages, creating a pathway from initial financing toward later growth rounds.

For Israeli startups, access to capital remains particularly important because technology development can require years of research before revenue becomes substantial. Cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, enterprise software and other technology businesses often need significant investment in engineering and product development before reaching larger markets.

The new fund also arrives during a period in which venture capital has become more concentrated around companies with strong technology and clearer commercial potential. Investors are increasingly examining how startups can turn innovation into sustainable businesses rather than simply rewarding rapid user or valuation growth.

Artificial intelligence has become one of the strongest areas of investor interest globally. Israeli companies have participated in that expansion through cybersecurity, enterprise software, defense-related technologies and specialized AI applications, creating an ecosystem that continues to attract international attention.

Swish Ventures’ third fund adds another source of capital to that environment. By concentrating on Seed and Series A companies, the firm is positioning itself at a stage when founders are often still refining products, identifying customers and building the teams needed to scale.

The firm was founded by Omri Casspi, who previously became the first Israeli player in the NBA. The venture capital business has since developed into a technology investment platform, with the latest fund raising its total assets under management to around $800 million.

The significance of the new fund will ultimately be measured by the companies it helps build. For now, the $250 million commitment signals continued investor appetite for Israeli technology and provides another pool of capital for founders moving through the earliest, most uncertain stages of the technology journey.
