Inferno in Noida: Massive Fire Engulfs Furniture Company in Sector 10

NOIDA — A massive fire broke out at a furniture manufacturing and storage facility in Noida’s Sector 10, destroying property worth lakhs and sending thick plumes of black smoke towering into the skyline.

The blaze reportedly started on the ground floor of the multi-story industrial building before rapidly spreading to upper levels, fueled by a high concentration of flammable materials, including wood, varnish, foam, and upholstery fabrics. Nearby factory workers noticed smoke pouring from the windows and immediately alerted the fire department and local police.

More than a dozen fire tenders were dispatched to the scene as firefighters worked tirelessly for hours to contain the raging flames and prevent them from spreading to adjoining industrial structures. Emergency personnel utilized hydraulic platforms and heavy water hoses to fight the blaze from multiple angles.

All workers inside the premises were safely evacuated shortly after the fire was detected, and no casualties or serious injuries have been reported so far.

Police officials have secured the perimeter, and a preliminary investigation is underway to establish the cause of the fire. Early reports suggest an electrical short circuit may have triggered the blaze, though forensic teams are conducting a complete assessment of the site.

Witnesses described chaotic scenes as intense heat and dense smoke blanketed Sector 10's industrial area, forcing surrounding businesses to suspend operations and evacuate their staff as a safety precaution. The rapid escalation of the fire was exacerbated by strong winds, which carried embers toward neighboring units, prompting firefighters to establish a protective water curtain around adjacent buildings.

Senior officials from the Noida Fire Services arrived on-site to oversee the cooling-down operations after the main inferno was brought under control. They confirmed that while the structural integrity of the affected facility has been severely compromised, the swift deployment of fire suppression units prevented the flames from causing widespread damage across the commercial block.

In the wake of the incident, municipal authorities and the fire department have announced plans to conduct comprehensive safety audits across industrial units in Sector 10. Officials reiterated that strict compliance with fire safety protocols, including the installation of functional sprinklers and clear emergency exits, will be enforced to prevent similar industrial disasters in the future.
