Inferno in Dimapur: Massive Fire Breaks Out at Bihari Colony

DIMAPUR — A massive fire swept through a densely populated residential cluster in Dimapur on Wednesday afternoon, September 23, 2026 reducing dozens of temporary structures to ashes and rendering approximately 100 families homeless.

The affected locality predominantly inhabited by members of the Bihari community—many of whom work as daily wage earners and auto rickshaw drivers—was quickly engulfed in flames as the blaze tore through bamboo and thatched kutcha homes.
