Indian Ship Sinks Off Yemen Coast After Projectile Strike; Crew Rescued

An Indian-flagged commercial vessel, MSV Faize Noore Oliya, sank off Yemen after being hit by a projectile, India’s Ports, Shipping and Waterways minister Sarbananda Sonowal said. He condemned the attack as unprovoked, adding that the Yemeni Coast Guard rescued all 14 crew members, including 13 Indians, and brought them to the Port of Mokha. India’s Foreign Ministry also said it is closely monitoring the situation and called for restoring safe, free navigation for shipping in the region, where attacks have disrupted trade.
