An Indian-run pharmaceutical plant in Ukraine’s Sumy region was largely destroyed in a Russian drone attack, killing one person and injuring several others. The facility belongs to Kusum Group, an Indian-founded company headed by Indian national Rajeev Gupta. The group established the Sumy plant in 2009 and manufactures more than 50 generic medicines for several international markets. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the strike, saying Russia also attacked Kyiv’s Pivnichnyi Bridge and a communications facility in Dnipro during an assault.
