An Indian aviation company is reportedly pursuing an agreement with Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation to acquire 50 IL-114-300 aircraft. The proposed deal would represent a major expansion of commercial aerospace cooperation between the two countries and could support regional connectivity in India. It may also provide Russia’s aircraft industry with an important international customer amid continued market and trade challenges. Negotiations are expected to address pricing, production schedules, certification, maintenance, financing, and the aircraft’s suitability for Indian routes over time there.
