The Israel Defense Forces says an airstrike in Khan Younis killed Hudhaifa Khaled Suleiman Qawari, a company commander in Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade. According to the IDF, Qawari had helped train fighters, transport weapons and restore Hamas’s military capabilities during the war. The military said he had recently advanced plans to attack Israeli troops and described him as an immediate threat. The strike occurred during a ceasefire, making the reported killing particularly sensitive amid continuing tensions in southern Gaza Strip.
