Sources report that the International Criminal Court has taken action against chief prosecutor Karim Khan over sexual misconduct allegations. The BBC says the suspension was made by a management oversight body as an investigation continued and the matter was referred to ICC’s member states, which will vote on whether Khan should be removed. Khan has repeatedly denied the allegations. The oversight bureau said the suspension does not prejudge the outcome. Any removal decision could face legal challenges based on the procedures followed and Khan’s right to appeal.
