High-Profile Makati Fugitive Wanted for Child Abuse Arrested in Pasay

PASAY CITY, Philippines - A high-profile fugitive wanted on multiple child abuse charges by the Makati City Police was arrested in Pasay City on Friday, February 20, 2026, police confirmed, marking a significant breakthrough in the ongoing law enforcement effort to apprehend suspects accused of crimes against minors.

The suspect, a 47-year-old man identified only by his first name, Marlon, was listed as the No. 4 most wanted person at the station level by the Makati City Police for three counts of child abuse. Law enforcement units tracked him down and apprehended him in Pildera 2, Barangay 194, Pasay City during a coordinated operation.

Police said the arrest was carried out by officers from the Southern Police District Mobile Force Battalion, working with the District Special Operations Unit and Warrant and Subpoena Sections of both the Makati and Pasay police forces. The team served an arrest warrant issued by the Pasay City Family Court (Branch 11) in connection with the child abuse charges.

The warrant stemmed from three counts filed under the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (Republic Act 7610), reflecting the gravity of the allegations involving alleged harm to minors. Each count carried a bail recommendation of ₱200,000, though police noted that bail had not yet been posted at the time of arrest.

Following his arrest, Marlon was taken into custody at the Pasay City Police station as officers prepare to return him to Makati for further processing and arraignment. Authorities stressed that the operation underscores ongoing efforts to enforce warrants and hold individuals accused of crimes against children accountable.

Southern Police District Director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo lauded the successful operation, noting that cooperation between police units across city jurisdictions was key to locating and apprehending the fugitive. He reiterated the police force’s commitment to bring wanted suspects to justice, especially in cases involving vulnerable victims.

Police said the investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing as the case moves forward in the courts.
