Hayden Panettiere Cancels Appearance Last-Minute Due to Family ‘Emergency’

Hayden Panettiere canceled her planned appearance at California’s Creep I.E. Con at the last minute, the event announced on Instagram ahead of the weekend.

The convention informed potential guests that the “Scream” star was unable to attend, describing it only as an “emergency,” and said Panettiere was still welcome to appear at an upcoming show.

A statement provided by Panettiere’s representative explained that she canceled due to a private family matter involving the health of an elderly relative.

With Panettiere unable to make it, the event quickly updated its lineup, adding Dominique Swain to appear in her place over the remaining days.
