A report says a delegation of top Hamas officials recently met Iranian leaders and presented Tehran with demands for increased diplomatic and financial support. The talks, held on the sidelines of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s funeral, asked Iran to act as a “diplomatic safety net” during efforts toward a permanent end to the Gaza war. Hamas also reportedly urged Iran to reject any scenario involving its disarmament or removal from power, and to provide more resources to help rebuild its military capabilities.
