Hamas executes Gazan for “collaborating” with Israeli intelligence — report

Hamas executed a Palestinian in the Gaza Strip on charges of collaborating with Israeli intelligence, according to a report citing a Hamas-affiliated security statement.

The report said “Resistance Security” announced the execution of a man identified as “M.M.” for working with Israeli intelligence. It alleged that his actions contributed to the deaths of several Palestinians, including former Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades commander Izz al-Din Haddad.

The report further said M.M. was initially arrested after Haddad’s assassination, after he was reportedly seen communicating with Israeli intelligence. It also alleged M.M. was present during an incident at Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital involving the identification of people killed in an Israeli strike.

According to the report, M.M. confessed after his arrest and admitted to passing Israel information that the statement said helped lead to the killing of around 30 Gaza militants. The report added that he was reportedly found with surveillance equipment at the time of arrest.
