A Los Angeles judge granted Olivier Martinez physical custody of his and Halle Berry’s son, Maceo, while rejecting Martinez’s request for a domestic-violence restraining order. Berry is no longer permitted overnight visits and must attend counseling to help repair her relationship with their son. The ruling followed a lengthy custody hearing, where Martinez accused Berry of choking Maceo; she denied the allegation. Berry’s attorney welcomed the dismissal of the temporary protection order. The court is expected to revisit custody issues in November.
