Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has rejected any arrangement that would require Greece to acknowledge foreign ownership of the Parthenon Marbles before their return. Speaking in Thessaloniki, he said Greece would not “borrow” its own treasures and described the sculptures as integral parts of a unified monument. The remarks came during a ceremony marking the return of religious artifacts between Greece and Bulgaria. Athens and the British Museum remain divided over ownership, legal language, and terms for reunification of them.
