Greece-based Dynagas allowed to carry Russian LNG under new EU sanctions, FT says

European diplomats told the FT that Greece-based Dynagas will be allowed to keep transporting Russian LNG to third countries under the EU’s 21st sanctions package. The exemption would last 12 months, potentially extendable, and is to be decided by EU ambassadors after a compromise agreed in talks. Athens had blocked the package on July 15, arguing a transit ban would damage its shipowner interests. Volumes would be capped at 2025 levels as part of negotiations over wider energy-fuel restrictions inside.
