Two Ghanaian twin brothers and a U.S. woman have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a romance-scam network that caused more than $9 million in losses. Prosecutors say the defendants used identities on dating sites and social media to build relationships with victims, then persuaded them to send money to accounts controlled by the group. The scheme ran from July 2024 to April 2026, reaching victims in 25 U.S. states, Germany and Austria. Sentencing is set for February 2027.
