Foreign Helicopters Join Effort to Fight Deliblato Sands Wildfire Near Belgrade

Helicopters from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, and Serbia were seen flying over Belgrade as emergency crews responded to the wildfire burning in the Deliblato Sands area. The aircraft were reportedly deployed to support firefighting operations, dropping water and helping contain flames across the forested and sandy terrain. The blaze threatened ecosystems and nearby communities, while strong winds and dry conditions complicated efforts. Authorities continued coordinating aerial and ground responses as firefighters worked to prevent the fire from spreading further.
