Five British Anti-Migrant Activists Detained in Northern France

Five British far-right suspects were detained in Grande-Synthe, near Dunkirk, on Thursday, authorities said Saturday. They were traveling in a minibus nicknamed the “Battle Bus” and carrying four tear gas bombs, the prefecture said. While driving along northern France’s coast, they livestreamed footage authorities said was intended to show intimidation of migrants seeking to reach Britain. The five face accusations of preparing violence against people and transporting weapons without legitimate reason. Officials said they are expected to be expelled from France.
