Dwayne Johnson is transforming into a man in his 70s for Lizard Music, Benny Safdie’s adaptation of Daniel Pinkwater’s children’s book. Johnson plays the Chicken Man and spends about five hours in makeup each day, with prosthetics by Kazu Hiro. The fantasy adventure follows a boy who discovers a mysterious late-night broadcast featuring lizards playing music. Newcomer Theo Clark Leber leads the cast, alongside Regina Hall, Alicia Silverstone and Tim Heidecker. Johnson described the demanding transformation as a challenge, but said he was enjoying the experience.
