QUEZON CITY, Philippines — A fire broke out on the third floor of the Land Transportation Office-National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) Regional Office along G. Araneta Avenue in Barangay Sto. Domingo on Sunday, September 20, 2026 prompting a rapid response from local firefighters and emergency crews.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) dispatched units immediately after receiving the initial alert. The fire quickly escalated, prompting authorities to raise the status to Second Alarm to deploy additional fire trucks and personnel to contain the blaze before it could spread to adjacent floors and neighboring structures.
Emergency responders managed to gain control of the scene and successfully extinguish the flames on the affected portion of the third floor.
No immediate casualties or major injuries have been reported among staff or nearby residents. BFP arson investigators are currently on site to determine the origin and cause of the blaze, as well as assess the total cost of structural and office equipment damage.
