Masked Israeli settlers attacked a delegation of European diplomats in Taybeh, a Christian village near Ramallah, Belgium’s foreign minister said. The group, which included officials from Belgium, France, Poland and the Catholic Church, was visiting amid olive harvest tensions. French mayor Bernard Baudoux said he was kicked and beaten with iron bars. A Belgian car had a window smashed, and reports said stones were thrown. Israel’s military condemned the violence and said it was investigating; police also opened an investigation.
