Karl Bushby returned to Hull, England, on Monday after completing a 28-year, 30,000-mile journey around the world. He began his Goliath Expedition in Chile on November 1, 1998, and walked north through the Americas before crossing into Russia. Visa restrictions and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine delayed him; he also swam for 31 days across the Caspian Sea and crossed the English Channel last month. Bushby arrived at his mother’s home to cheers and a reunion after more than 10,000 days away.
