Eight Killed in Erie Shooting; Suspected Gunman Also Dead, Authorities Say

A man killed eight people at a home in Erie, Pennsylvania, before dying by suicide, authorities said Saturday. The victims included two children, ages one and five, and a woman who was eight months pregnant. Police said seven victims were related to the suspected shooter, while another was a friend of the pregnant woman. Investigators are examining the circumstances and have not established a motive. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro offered state support to the victims’ relatives and the community. Police said there was no continuing threat to the public.
