Devastating Russian Air Strike Hits Oleksandrivka, Leaving Multiple Dead and Injured

DONETSK REGION, Ukraine — At least four people were killed and four others wounded, including a five-year-old child, after Russian forces launched a devastating air strike using guided aerial bombs (KAB) on the settlement of Oleksandrivka.

The morning attack left extensive destruction across the residential community as emergency teams rushed to search for survivors trapped in the debris.

According to local authorities and Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Russian troops dropped four high-explosive guided aerial bombs directly onto the town around 10:00 a.m. local time.

The powerful blasts completely destroyed a multi-story apartment building and inflicted severe structural damage on 11 nearby residential blocks, 42 private homes, a kindergarten, a local shop, and an administrative building, while destroying several civilian vehicles.

State Emergency Service crews and local rescue teams swiftly deployed heavy equipment and search-and-rescue units to clear collapsed structures and locate survivors.

Emergency responders provided immediate triage to the four wounded civilians before transporting them to regional medical facilities. Officials warned that the casualties could rise further, as early reports indicated that up to eight additional residents—including young children—remained buried under the rubble of collapsed homes.

In the wake of the bombardment, regional leadership reiterated urgent calls for remaining civilians in front-line and adjacent settlements across the Donetsk region to evacuate immediately.

Authorities emphasized that the frequent use of heavy guided aerial bombs poses an extreme danger to residential zones, urging families to utilize organized evacuation corridors to move to safer regions. Emergency services continue non-stop clearing operations at the strike site.

International organizations and humanitarian groups condemned the strike, highlighting the mounting civilian toll caused by the increasing deployment of heavy stand-off munitions against non-military targets. Regional administrators noted that local support centers have been set up to provide displaced residents with emergency housing, psychological support, and essential supplies as rescue efforts persist through the debris.
