One person was killed and four others wounded in shootings at three locations in Trappes and La Verrière, west of Paris. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez called it “clearly a terrorist crime,” while the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into murder linked to a terrorist enterprise. The shooter was arrested in Coignières. Three injured people were in critical condition. The motive remains unclear, though investigators are examining whether victims were targeted because of race, ethnicity, nationality or religion.
