Cyberattack Targets Refrigeration Systems at Three French Blood Bank Sites

A cyberattack on a refrigeration-equipment supplier affected three French Blood Establishment sites storing plasma, authorities said. The attack raised temperature and defrost settings to extremely high levels on Monday, but alarms detected the changes and staff secured or transferred the products. No blood products were lost, and no health consequences have been reported. France’s Health Ministry said the situation was under control, while the national cybersecurity agency and ministry investigate. The French Blood Establishment said collection and distribution continue without interruption.
