Coins.ph Cuts Stablecoin Fees to Boost Usage

Philippine-based cryptocurrency exchange Coins.ph has announced a reduction in fees for stablecoin transactions, aiming to encourage wider adoption and everyday use of digital assets across the country.

The move is designed to make stablecoin transfers more affordable for users, particularly those using crypto for remittances, payments, and trading. By lowering transaction costs, Coins.ph hopes to position stablecoins as a practical alternative to traditional financial services, especially for cross-border transfers where fees can be high.

Company officials said the fee cuts align with their goal of expanding financial inclusion and supporting the growing demand for faster, cheaper digital payments. Stablecoins, which are typically pegged to fiat currencies, offer users price stability while retaining the benefits of blockchain-based transactions.

The initiative also comes amid increasing competition among crypto exchanges in Southeast Asia, as platforms seek to attract and retain users through improved pricing and enhanced services.

With reduced fees now in place, Coins.ph expects higher transaction volumes and broader use of stablecoins for both personal and business transactions in the Philippine market.
