Canada has stated it "strongly condemns" Israel’s preparations to occupy southern Lebanon and warned that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon "must not be violated." Since the beginning of March, the death toll in Lebanon from Israeli attacks has risen to at least 1,072 individuals, with nearly 3,000 wounded, and over a million people displaced due to the conflict. The Canadian Ministry of Global Affairs has expressed solidarity with the Lebanese government and its citizens.
