Canada’s International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu is leading nearly 300 business delegates on a trade mission to Mumbai and Bengaluru from October 12 to 17. Ottawa says it is the country’s largest trade mission to India in more than 30 years. The visit aims to build business partnerships and support negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which both governments hope to conclude by year-end. Canada and India have set a goal of raising bilateral trade to CAD 70 billion by 2030, from CAD 30.4 billion in 2025.
