Canada and Ukraine to Jointly Produce Defence Technology Under ‘100-Year Partnership’

Canada and Ukraine have signed a declaration establishing a 100-year partnership focused on defence, economic cooperation and reconstruction. The agreement includes joint development and manufacturing of drones and related technologies by General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada and Ukraine’s Green Tech Harvest. Canada is also launching a defence-drone marketplace and investing in air-defence interceptors, countering hybrid threats and winter infrastructure. Prime Minister Mark Carney said the measures would strengthen Ukraine’s security while expanding Canada’s domestic defence industry and innovation capacity and partnerships
