Bus Crash in Hungary Kills 12 People, Injures at Least 10

A tourist bus crash in eastern Hungary killed 12 people and injured at least 10 others, Hungarian authorities said. The accident happened early on the M3 motorway near Mezőkeresztes when the bus reportedly left the roadway and overturned. State media said about 57 passengers and two drivers were aboard. Police said preliminary indications suggested the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, and the driver was taken into custody. Polish officials said those on the bus were Polish citizens and that consular staff were coordinating with local investigators.
