Brazil’s Flávio Bolsonaro arrives in US after election defeat

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro arrived in Miami on Wednesday after losing Brazil’s presidential runoff to incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Reuters TV images showed his arrival. Bolsonaro had failed to obey a Supreme Court order to surrender his passports to federal police by Tuesday, amid an investigation into alleged money laundering. He had previously said he had no plans to leave Brazil. Lula won 51.79% of the vote, while Bolsonaro, who has not publicly conceded the election, lost in Brazil.
