Authorities say a homemade bomb carried by a woman detonated near an Italian restaurant in central Moscow, killing three people and injuring at least 21. The blast occurred shortly before 2000 local time near Kudrinkskaya Square. Russian officials reported that an unidentified woman tried to enter the restaurant but was stopped by a security guard; all three were killed. Injuries ranged in severity. Officials have not named victims or identified a suspect or motive.
