Between Algorithms and Factory Floors: Spanish AI Startup Tenoro Raises New Capital for Automated Business Operations

Tenoro, an artificial intelligence startup founded in 2025, is trying to place AI at the center of that movement. The company has raised €1.7 million in a seed funding round led by Plus Partners, with participation from Bynd, Soldiers Field and individual investors.

The Madrid-based startup describes its technology as an agentic operating system for the physical operations of retail, distribution and manufacturing companies. Its platform brings together functions such as procurement, production, inventory, warehousing, orders, transportation, demand planning, point-of-sale operations and finance.

At the center of the platform is Teno, an AI agent designed not only to present information but also to coordinate and execute operational tasks. The company says the system is intended to connect business functions that are often managed through separate software, spreadsheets and fragmented workflows.

The funding arrives after Tenoro reported more than €1 million in annual recurring revenue from customers in Mexico. The company plans to use the new capital to consolidate its Mexican business while beginning commercial operations in Spain and the United States.

Tenoro currently has a team of 15 people distributed across Spain, Mexico and Argentina. The company plans to expand its product, implementation and sales teams as it works to turn its early customer base into a larger commercial operation.

The startup expects annual recurring revenue to reach $5 million, roughly €4.3 million, in 2027. It is also targeting break-even during the first quarter of that year, according to company information reported by Spanish media.

The technology reflects a broader movement in enterprise AI. Instead of using artificial intelligence only to summarize information or answer questions, companies are increasingly exploring systems that can interact with business software and perform defined operational tasks.

For companies managing physical goods, that distinction can be important. A system that can identify an inventory shortage is useful; a system that can also coordinate a purchase order, update planning information and communicate the resulting change across other operational modules is designed for a different level of integration.

The challenge, however, is not simply building an AI agent. Operational systems must deal with real-world constraints, including inaccurate data, changing demand, supplier delays and the need for human oversight when decisions carry financial or logistical consequences.

Tenoro’s expansion will provide an early test of how far that model can travel beyond its existing Mexican customer base. With new funding and planned activity in Spain and the United States, the company is moving from an emerging technology project toward a broader commercial footprint, placing its AI agent closer to the everyday machinery of business.
